Courtney Hurt, MSW, is a Senior Project Manager and measurement scientist in the Department of Medical Social Sciences at Northwetern University Feinberg School of Medicine and the Northwestern University Center for Clinical Outcomes Research and Education (NUCORE). She works on the development and validation of fit-for-purpose Clinical Outcome Assessments (COAs) that are essential to understanding patients' functionality, symptoms, and well-being, using qualitative and mixed methods. Her work supports regulatory applications including FDA submissions, by generating evidence that meets standards for content validity and measurement rigor required in clinical trials and drug development. She also consults with pharmaceutical companies to design and execute COA strategies that align with both scientific best practices and regulatory expectations across a wide range of therapeutic areas.
