I am Reme Unuakhalu, a second-year medical student at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine with a Master of Health Science in Biomedical Sciences from Bellarmine University and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Kentucky. I am currently undecided on a specialty. I am interested in genetics research. I am involved in several organizations at UCCOM, including MedCat Mentors, the Student National Medical Association, the Medical Spanish/Latino Health Elective, Genetics in Medicine, the Gold Humanism Honor Society Mentoring Communities, and Black Women in Medicine.
