Sanjana Velu is a gap year research student with the Parikh Lab at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. In this role, she contributes to the collection, analysis, and presentation of data associated with the Early Prediction Study, aimed at improving short and long-term outcomes for preterm infants. Her work spans various areas of the research process, including the scoring and entry of developmental data, imaging and other statistical data analyses, systematic reviews of relevant literature, and preparation of manuscripts. Soon to begin her medical training at Sidney Kimmel Medical College in the fall of 2026, she is passionate about advancing research that makes tangible, meaningful differences in the lives of children and their families.
