Research Aide
Nationwide Children's Hospital
Rishil is a research aide in the Becknell Lab at Nationwide Children's Hospital (NCH). He received his BS in Computer Science and Engineering at The Ohio State University in 2024. Currently, Rishil is a trainee and is aspiring to enter medical school and become a physician. Rishil has an interest in bioinformatics with a focus on transcriptional analysis in experimental models of urinary tract infections. Mentored by Brian Becknell and Xin Wang, Rishil has had the opportunity to contribute to several projects within the Kidney and Urinary Tract Center at NCH, presenting his work at multiple conferences and symposiums. In addition to research, Rishil works as a patient care associate for Ohio State, aiming to uphold high standards of bedside care in a clinical setting. While in the beginnings of his research career, Rishil remains deeply motivated to using novel bioinformatic approaches to characterize disease pathogenesis and improve therapeutic management.
