Julie Johnson Rolfes, MD is an Assistant Professor and Neonatal Intensivist at the University of Minnesta Masonic Children's Hospital in Minneapolis, MN. She completed medical school at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, then residency in Pediatrics at the University of California, San Diego, followed by Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine fellowship at the University of Minnesota. She also holds a Certificate in Pediatric Bioethics from the Children's Mercy Hospital Bioethics Center in Kansas City, MO. In addition to direct clinical care in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Dr. Johnson Rolfes also serves as the Associate Fellowship Program Director for the Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine fellowship, and is a member of the University of Minnesota Ethics Committee. She finds joy in developing new ways to engage medical trainees such as through simulation, and fostering the skills of these emerging leaders, including through her co-facilitation of the Neonatology Leadership Education and Development curriculum at the U of MN.
