Clinical Instructor
University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics
Iowa City, IA
Lauren Bodilly MD, MS is a clinical instructor in the Division of Pediatric Critical Care at the University of Iowa Stead Family Children's Hospital. My clinical and research interest is neonatal and pediatric sepsis. In the laboratory, I study the influence of maternal diet on the neonatal immune system and metabolome. I use a murine model of maternal malnutrition, with dams on a low-fat or high-fat diet, to explore the immunologic and metabolic effects on neonatal offspring. Furthermore, I examine how these alterations are associated with outcomes in neonatal sepsis.
