My name is Ryan Ward and I am a third year pediatrics resident at the Stead Family Children's Hospital at the University of Iowa. Following residency, I plan on pursing a fellowship in pediatric nephrology where I hope to gain further training to become a physician scientist. My research interests include investigating the impacts of pediatric chronic kidney disease on neurodevelopment, cognition, and socioeconomic outcomes. When I'm not at the hospital or doing research, you can find me at a splash pad, park, or children's museum with my wife, Elyse, and two kids, Madelyn (5) and Isaac (3).
