Resident Physician
Valley Children's Healthcare
My name is Navya Katragadda, DO, MBA, and I’m a resident physician at Valley Children’s Healthcare. I’m passionate about providing compassionate, equitable care to all patients especially those from underserved backgrounds, and advocating for systems that keep patients at the center of every medical decision. During medical school, I pursued an MBA to better understand the intersection of healthcare policy, administration, and patient outcomes. I wanted to learn how decisions made beyond the exam room impact the quality and accessibility of care. This training has deepened my commitment to advocacy, particularly in areas like preventive health and mental health access, where disparities continue to affect vulnerable communities. As a pediatrician, I believe it’s my responsibility to advocate for my patients, especially when they can’t advocate for themselves. My care philosophy is rooted in collaboration and transparency. I strive to work closely with patients and their families to make informed, shared decisions. I believe that listening is just as important as treating, and that trust is the foundation of effective care. I also believe in embracing joy in medicine. Pediatrics allows me to connect with my inner child and bring lightheartedness and fun into the healing process. It’s a privilege to care for this incredible patient population, and I’m committed to combining evidence-based medicine with empathy and advocacy to serve them to the best of my ability. Outside of medicine, I enjoy traveling, binge-watching TV shows, hanging out with friends, going on new adventures, cooking, doing arts and crafts, and spending time with my dog!
