I am currently a third-year fellow in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago/Northwestern University, with a longstanding interest in vascular health and development. Under the mentorship of Dr. Isabelle De Plaen and Dr. Daniel York I am currently investigating the use of nailfold capillaroscopy as a novel, non-invasive biomarker to help predict the development of bronchopulmonary dysplasia and pulmonary hypertension in preterm infants. My long-term goal is to continue to develop my career in academics, enhancing our understanding of neonatal vascular health and microvascular maldevelopment as a major contributor to complications of prematurity.
